Memorial Day in Idyllwild

Weekend getaway to Idyllwild over Memorial Day Weekend. Who knew that temperatures would be in the 30s with snow covering my campground. I didn't get to do all the hiking I wanted, but I enjoyed some great scenery, met some interesting people at the local bar in town, enjoyed the friendly townsfolk, and got to sleep in the snow. Pinnacles National Monument, June 10, 2007

Sacha, Heather, Nicole and I on a 12 mile circuit hike looping through Pinnacles National Monument. This was the last time I saw Sacha in the Bay Area before Sacha moved back to Sweden :( I'm glad I survived the hike. All three wanted to kill me either because of the height issues or the length of the hike.

Big Sur, June 9, 2007

Sacha, Nicole and I enjoyed a great hike with fabulous ocean views at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur. Heather joined us for dinner in Carmel afterwards.
