Chicoutimi and Parc National de la Jacques Cartier : Christian, one of my best friends, and I drove to Chicoutimi, a small city about 5 hours from Montreal, the start of our 3-day road trip. Chicoutimi is located on the Saguenay River, a massive river. We got to witness the locals celebrating Canada Day and enjoying Quebecois folk dancing.

Quebec City : Quebec City was founded in 1608 and is celebrating its 400th Anniversary this year! This beautiful city feels very European and exhibits much more history than Montreal. We were fortunate to witness some of the city's celebrations of its rich history. Quebec was captured by the Brits from the French in 1759, and it's amazing how the French language and culture have flourished to this day.

Tadoussac and the Drive to the St. Lawrence From Chicoutimi : Day 2: After our cruise on the Saguenay, Christian and I drove due east along the Saguenay to Tadoussac, where the Saguenay empties into the St. Lawrence. The amount of water we saw was staggering, hundreds of huge lakes and rivers. The sight of the St. Lawrence was so impressive -- you can barely see the other side of this massive RIVER.
As I told Christian, I am surprised that the EVIL George W. Bush hasn't yet invaded Canada to steal its water.

Québec 2007 : An outstanding trip to Montréal in July 2007. I enjoyed the company of my wonderful friends and family, Montréal's famous Jazz fast, and fantastic food. We had so much fun that there was minimal time for pictures! That's why most of these pictures are not from Montréal.
