Memorial Day in Idyllwild - alti's Photos

Weekend getaway to Idyllwild over Memorial Day Weekend. Who knew that temperatures would be in the 30s with snow covering my campground. I didn't get to do all the hiking I wanted, but I enjoyed some great scenery, met some interesting people at the local bar in town, enjoyed the friendly townsfolk, and got to sleep in the snow.

alti > I also find it fascinating how the north-facing slope is covered with pine trees, while the south-facing slope where I was was dominated by chaparral.
